Postfertilization Effects of Oral Contraceptives and Their Relationship to Informed Consent examines the question whether birth control pills interfere with pregnancy after fertilization, thus causing an early abortion. After summarizing the evidence from 1970 to the present, the authors conclude that there is “very good” evidence that the birth control pill has an abortive effect and NO evidence that it does not.
